19 Tempest®900 4-Channel Wireless Intercom System
BeltStaon Overview
1- Volume- CH A/B and CH C/D
In Operaonal Mode, turning the Volume control adjusts the volume of the
audio. Volume indicators appear on the display during adjustment and are
expressed in Decibels (dB).
The Volume control has an opon to be set to Volume Press” where it
requires a “press and turn” to adjust the volume level. The “Volume Press”
opon can be adjusted under the “Set Controls” secon of the BeltStaon
menu.
Pressing the Volume control “CH A/B” and “CH C/D” changes the selected
intercom between channels A or B and C or D respecvely. The Volume
control has a channel “Delay Switch” opon which requires the knob to be
pressed and held slightly longer in order to switch from one channel to the
other. This feature can be enabled under the “Set Controls” secon of the
BeltStaon menu.
In Menu Mode, turning either Volume control allows the user to scroll the
opons of the current menu screen. Pressing the Volume control selects
the opon.
2- Stage Buon
The Stage Announce (STAGE) buon re-routes the microphone signal of the BeltStaon from the selected intercom channel
to the BaseStaon rear panel Stage Announce (SA) output connector. If desired, when this buon is pressed, a momentary
relay contact closure is made at the Relay connector. See the secon on GPO Relays.
Pressing the Stage Announce buon automacally enables the microphone, regardless of Talk Buon status. The Stage
buon sengs may be adjusted at the Stage Announce menu screen under the “Set Controls” secon of the BeltStaon
menu.
3- MENU Buon
Pressing MENU while the BeltStaon is in Operaonal mode will select Menu Mode, and the Main Menu screen will be
displayed. Once in Menu Mode, pressing MENU again will act as an escape key and will back out of the current menu screen
moving the user up one level. Pressing the MENU buon while at the Main Menu screen will exit Menu Mode and return
to Operaonal mode. The menu can be locked via a “Menu Lock” feature per BeltStaon.
4- ENTER Buon
The ENTER buon operates dierently depending on the mode of the BeltStaon. In Menu Mode, pressing the ENTER
buon selects the current menu opon and is the same as pressing a Volume control. A menu item is not selected unl the
ENTER buon (or Volume control) is pressed.
The ENTER buon can also acvate Wireless ISO (wireless talk around), providing wireless communicaon isolated from
any connected wired intercom system.
The ENTER buon is also one of the buons that can be assigned to acvate a Relay in the BaseStaon. It is possible to
acvate the Relay whenever the Wireless ISO feature is used.
5- LCD
While in Operaonal Mode, the LCD displays the status of the BeltStaon including the name of the currently communicang
BaseStaon, RF strength, baery level, and other data. The LCD backlight and contrast can be adjusted from the LCD
Adjustments menu screen under the LCD/LED secon of the BeltStaon menu.
